Life is unpredictable – it’s full of ups and downs. When things are going the way we want, we feel good. When things don’t end up the way we had hoped, we might end up feeling insecure, lonely, anxious or depressed. We could be having problems at work, school, or in a relationship. Sometimes these problems get in the way of life and we get stuck.
I hope to help you become “un-stuck.” Working together with you, I will offer effective evidence based strategies to help you explore what’s getting in your way and to teach you new ways of coping. We will use a variety of techniques to achieve both quick symptom relief and long lasting change. We’ll work together and move along at a pace that feels both comfortable and productive.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and intimidating. My goal is to provide a warm, non-judgmental space to help you explore your concerns and work with you to achieve your goals. I strive to be curious and open and have a very transparent approach to treatment. I emphasize a “strength-based” approach in which I will help you identify and build from your strengths, resiliency and other positive qualities to overcome obstacles. Ultimately, my goal is to empower you to use the knowledge and tools you gain in therapy to make positive changes in your life, and to better understand and care for yourself.
I treat individuals, including teens and young adults, with a wide variety of concerns including, but not limited to:
Anxiety (OCD, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, chronic worry, panic attacks)
Low-Self Esteem/Feeling Inadequate/Imposter Syndrome
Emotional Eating
Stress management and coping skills including life changes (new job, starting high school or college, etc)
